Meet People with an Interest in Japan | Enhance Your Resume | Give Back to the Community Mid-South JETAA is looking for alumni interested in revitalizing the chapter - we need volunteers for everything from one-time events, like organizing a JET Info Session at a local university, to one-year commitments, such as serving as an officer and representing our chapter at the National Conference. We will be holding a JETAA Mid-South Informational Meeting via Zoom to answer your questions about our chapter. See below for details. NOLA Japan Fest Saturday, October 14, 2023 | 9:00-5:00pm | New Orleans Museum of Art We invite all JET alumni, family, and friends to come enjoy the festival and drop by the JETAA Mid-South booth. We will continue our popular JETAA “photo booth”, where festival participants may take photos as a Daruma, Godzilla, or a Pikachu! We'll also help participants engage in other Japan-related games or crafts. JET Application Info Sessions Oct 2023 | Volunteers Wanted! Do you know anyone who might be interested in joining the JET Program next year? The 2023 application will be available at JETProgramUSA.org until November 17.The JET Coordinator for the Consulate General of Japan at Nashville will host two general information sessions via Zoom that are open to any and all potential applicants: Wednesday, October 4 at 12:00pm: Zoom Link Tuesday, October 17 at 5:00pm: Zoom Link In addition, the consulate is also looking for alumni to host in-person JET Information Sessions at universities in our region. For more information, contact the Nashville Consulate JET Coordinator, Tye Ebel.
